You've heard it before. The most important money you will spend on your wedding is on the photographer. The right photographer will arrive early, ready to tell your wedding story in pictures. As the owner of a vintage rentals company, I make it a point to study photographers' work and determine if in addition to stunning bridal pictures, spontaneous moments and emotions, that they also capture the details that the bride spent months planning. Those who do are the photographers I refer to brides. If he/she sees what I see when I look at a beautiful piece of furniture, it will show in their work. A closeup of a cascading floral arrangement on a vintage table with the ornate table front peeking through, or velvet upholstery of an antique chair showcasing gorgeous bridal shoes placed on the seat. Not all photographers can see details. They might be an expert in "people" photography, but know nothing about decor and design. In the wedding album, they should include memories such as details of the dress and shoes, and table decor at the reception. Including the little things make a big difference. So, do remember to take time to interview photographers and study their portfolios. You'll be glad you did.
